Default ford aluminum radiator

i just bought a ford aluminum radiator for my 89 gt and the tranny lines dont seem to come together, they're to big and the threading cant reach the other threads so if anyone has bought this radiator let me know what you did. thx!

i got that rad and i just bypassed the heat exchanger and just used my cooler

what do you hafta do, i dont know that much about radiators so wheres the heat exchanger and the cooler and howd ya do it? thanks for your help this ones got me in a jam!

I had a FMS Rad and didn't have any trouble getting things to hook up. you have to go out and buy a trans cooler that mounts in front of the rad if you can't get this to work.

heat exchanger is where the tranny lines go into on a Rad. its not a cooler but a heat exchanger. when cold it heats up the tranny, when hot it somwhat cools the fluid.

all i did was cut the lines and run my flex hose to the cooler that is in front of the rad. some ppl mount their coolers under neath the rad support
