how are the speeds i listed 13 second speeds? 14.0 is not sub-14 second. and that is a 2002 GT with 260 HP, not a 10 year old 5.0 with 225. motor trend, or car and driver, or any other car magazine for that matter, don't baby the cars they test. they do repeated runs with a professional driver.

also, drag slicks and 4.10 gears is not a stock car. a stock car is just that, stock. that means stock gears and street tires. in other words, the exact same condition as if you just drove it off the lot brand new.

an average stock 5.0 runs mid-high 14 second 1/4 miles. this is with a competent driver. being an "aggressive" driver isn't going to knock half a second off your times.

a 2002 mustang GT coupe weighs around 3,240 lbs, about 140 lbs. more than a fox body stang. 35 extra HP will make up for a 140 lb difference.

are you talking about this thread: https://mustangforums.com/forum_post...=6203&PN=1 because in it you post 14 different times for fox body stangs, the lowest of which is a 14.18 and the highest is a 15.7. so where are the 13 second cars?

of course 13 seconds is possible in the quarter with a stock motor. you can make almost any car run 13 seconds with a stock motor depending on how much weight you want to strip out of the car. but who wants to drive around with no door panels, no stereo, no passenger seat, etc?

ok, so you're saying you will put your car up against a new GT, all things being equal- same driver ability, both backseats out or whatever else you want to strip, everything? and you think you will beat it? i think you're high.

and my car only has the rear seat missing. if you want to run another stock motor stang. my buddy in his t5 car will do it also. he ran a 14.2 at 98mph totally stock. with his 92. and like i said before i ate two gts already with the truck up at the zeliople airport at an event called flashlight drags. and not all drivers are the same. if you dont believe it then go look for a aggresive 5.0 driver to run a new edge car and watch that gt get eaten'd
