Will a C4 from a 70's 302 fit on a 1990 302 out of a mustang?

Yes it will bolt up to the block. The only issue would be in the flexplate/bellhousing. Early 302s used a 28oz imbalance flexplate, your 90 302 uses a 50oz imbalance flexplate. There are also different bellhousings that came on the 302s (small and large). If your C4 has a large bellhousing, you can use the converter and flexplate from your 90 302. If your C4 has the small bellhousing, you can buy a large bellhousing and replace it, or buy a 157 tooth 50oz flexplate, and buy a new converter to match the smaller flexplate. You have several options.

if it has the larger bellhousing, you most likely will need the 164 tooth flexplate for a c-4 that contains a weight for a 50 oz balance 302
