What cam is this?

You're welcome.
You're right, fastest and most power is not always the right answer. The nice thing is that with EFI it's hard to pick too much cam - within reason, of course. If you get too much (lift, duration), the rest of the engine will limit the power. But the EFI and electronic ignition will still make it manageable and easily drivable.
With a carb, cam selection was very critical. Just a little too much duration and you would lose your vacuum signal and it would really bog at low end. Not enough duration and you lose your top end power. It was tough to pick the right part; especially on a limited budget.
My street/track car has a huge cam. And I mean huge. But the EFI really calms it down on the street. It purrs like a ***** cat, and cruises along very nicely at 2200rpm's. But mash on the throttle and it screams like a banshee and takes off like a rocket. Not difficult to drive at all - has power everywhere.
Don't be afraid to choose the bigger of two reasonable choices.

Sounds like you didn't talk to the right person when you got your custom ground cams^.
JD, like adder said, a crank isn't going to help you all by itself. For a 347 you need a new set of rods and pistons. Also please don't say you are going to run stock heads on this 347...

im not a complete idiot. i have a scat crank and rods. no not stock heads and i my question was simply wat cam did you suggest. This is not an all out race car. im looking for a cam with good performance and streetability. the car will be a low twelve second car. thats all. You guys are usually pretty helpful and you know your stuff but remember not everyone is lloking for the fastest. just quality and reliability.
