so if you that are following this i ended going out and buying a new EGR and Position sensor and it made a huge difference. now it will light the tires up very easy off the line. have a buddy with a 89 GTA and he could barly keep up with me.

now here is the deal .....i think i have a bad BAP ( barametric absolute preasure) sensor...... i still have idle issues and it is probably the only thing left major for emistions.......


how can i tell if it is bad or weak or just plan F'ed up

Running codes wont always show a problem if the sensor is giving WRONG readings in comparison to NONE. The EEC has no way of knowing if the BAP values are correct for u. im on my cell atm so i cant look, but find a thread posted here in tech over the past couple days titled "fast idol" in which i outlined BAP testing procedures.

I seriously doubt the BAP is bad , do you even know how the BAP figures into the ecm calculations???.........outline your idle issues/ describe problem
