Well from what I've researched people complain about increased road noise and ride harshness... The only downfall of the increased performance.

I have no complaints. The ride is fine. In fact I upgraded my shocks to the strange when I did the LCA and the ride as actually smoother.

Unless you have a completely stock exhaust system you can't really notice the extra noise... if there even is any.

All I have to say about them are good things.

here's my car with the stock springs and shocks.

here's a few of mine and my buddies with H&R Super Sports and my ride has KYB AGX shocks. i also had a Cobra rear sway bar and a Steeda front bar. nothing but good things to say about that combo, and that was still on the stock U/LCA's.

Thanks everyone for the input, and yes i have seen the maximum motorsports weight jacker control arms before, infact i was thinking that could easily correct the rear end height if i wanted to even it out at some time. Canary, do you have any side shots of your car with the set up?

NVD i found the exact pic i was looking for in your photo album. Im pumped to do this setup, i was so against lowering my car when i first bought it, that when i first got the car and 3 days later changed the front brakes i noticed my driver side coil was cracked. I went to ford and bought a stock replacement for $150 knowing that a whole lowering kit would have costed maybe $250-$275. Kick myself now but o well, made a new friend up at school and he has bilstein coil overs, sway bars, bushings in a 20th gti after riding around with him all this semester i new i needed to put my tax money into my suspension.

kid i used to work with when i was a VW tech had a 20th anniv GTi. that same set up i had listed would SPANK him on backroads and on/off ramps.

and i believe he had the same set up you listed for the other GTi.

ask him how he likes spending $9k to get 240whp to get walked by an "ancient, redneck" Mustang with a live axle.

Ive been around a few fast ones, such as mr friends and my brothers old one (supercharged R32) but they always seem to have some kind of electrical gremlin or stupid problem that is impossible to track down.
