Default Rear end

ok so My car is making a vibrating noise, and its coming from the rear. It only happens at higher speeds 30+ 40+. It also is not there when i am on the gas, but as soon as i take my foot off the gas is comes back.

What do you guys think it could be?

I had a similar situation in my car when I put in a rear end that I bought from a MF member... It was the crush sleeve/bearings on the pinion. I had to reinstall the gears and carrier and the problem was fixed.

Thanks guys. I figured out what it was. My drive shaft was being held on to my rearend by 2 bolts. And they were finger loose to take off. I went out and bought 2 more bolts, tightened everything back up , and now the noise is gone.

Glad to hear that. It's much less of a pain in the *** than a pinion.

Good thing you took the initiative to find the problem instead of ignore it. bad, bad things can happen when a driveshaft hits the ground.
