Default heads question

im doing a rebuild soon and rounding up my parts right now, i have been searching for a set of regular gt40s. on craigslist i came across these http://buffalo.craigslist.org/pts/1518201840.html and when i texted him he said they were gt40s but on one side they are marked gt and on the other 70. he also said he would sell the heads separately with the crane 1.6 roller rockers for $400. my question is, are these really the heads im looking for and is this a good deal? thanks in advance.

have him look at the ends of the heads and see if there are 3 bars or 4 bars.

no such thing as GT70 heads... so I cant give you input...

and FWIW, the picture of the heads doesnt show us a damn thing. SO you are asking input from people who have no way to touch the pieces, to see if they are what they are.

looks to me like YOU need to do more homework, and talk to the seller... not us

No problem. Heads were probably a little cruddy so it's tough to read the casting numbers. If they are that funky though, may want to get them gone through and magnafluxed at a machine shop before you go through the trouble of installing them just to be sure.

Sweet, cheap enough. $300 pretty good for gt-40s with the roller rockers. Nice score. Good luck with the build.
