Just as the title says it guys. I have a 87 gt and i hate how the rear bumper looks. Is thier a way to change the rear bumper to a lx bumper or even better the bumper kits that they sell for the lx models. I cant find any bumpers that i like for the gt.

if you swap to an LX bumper, it will not line up with the sideskirts.

Its probably best that you just leave it alone. you shouldnt care what the car looks like from the back anyway... you cant see it while you are driving!

The mouldings that go around the car are different on the lx vs gt as well. It'll look like crap. You could convert all of it and pocket a little cash by selling your gt stuff. A dude on here got 500$ for a kit he sold.

you could use a cobra style rear bumper they line up with the sideskirts and i'm pretty sure it's made for the gt

So if i change the side skirts to like an lx then i can take that moulding behind the tire and can slap any bumper i want?
