5.0 Mustang did a dyno test on a few intakes.

The bbk, edlebrock, gt-40, stocker.

You might find the article on their website.

www.50mustangandsuperfords.com

Off the top of my head, I believe the GT-40 did the best.
They ran AFR 65 heads, long tube headers, a mild cam, and
a speed density system, by FAST technologies. All on a 302 block

btw, the GT-40 intake is different from the Cobra intake.

it says on the web site that the dyno showed a 28hp increase but it doesnt say what all they had done to the car in conjunction with intake i mean ill buy it if its a 28hp increase just by bolting it on

RE: New BBK intake

its not going to give you 28HP, you should start with a 87+ throttle body which is 60mm compared to your 58mm. the only bolt on part that might give you that much is a set of heads, and with the stock air induction most of them wont.

professional products make a good intake and can get it polished for around 325.00,then used a 65mm t/b

if you got lots of money go with the edelbrock performer rpm 2,
but if you got a small budjet like the rest of us go with the professional products intake, its the same as the rpm1, but you have to clean up the ports a little.

these are some prices I checked out be4 I bought my pp intake.
prices in canadian dollars.

gt-40 from ford $775
edelbrock performer2 $790
professional products $400
so you can buy more stuff with the extra couple hundred bucks.
