Ill agree with the ignition components, but i'd do the easy check first. rip your catted h-pipe out and go drivin, see if it happens.

Is the CEL on?

The TFI module can be checked at most autoparts stores if you dont know how to test them yourself. There is some posts on this board on TFI and PIP testing

And +1 with mattdel's post.

i popped off the cap and the diode has a good amount of wear on it so that's definitely going to have to be replaced.

the check engine light isn't on.

as for the tfi module... i did some searching and couldn't find any resources on here... maybe i didn't look in the right place (new to this site).
