Default Typhoon Intake vs Gt40

I own a stock 94' 5.0 HO and I have the motor torn down. I was going to buy a new upper and lower intake, as well as headers. Now I must choose between two. Either the Typhoon kit EFI, or go with GT40 Intake kit. I would like to know which is best, and about how much HorsePower they would give me. Thanks in advance.

Well if you staying stock use the GT40.. If you gonna make some changes like heads etc go with typhoon. Its very close to a Performer RPM just a cheaper casting. I use the Typhoon intake and it makes a good cheap intake and does the job very well but i had heads , cam, etc. Good luck in your choice.

yeah the typhoon is a good intake but you should polish the ports when you get them bc of the cheaper casting to make everything smooth if you dont want to hassle with the work then buy a edelbrock and be done with it

Well I just got the head back today And plan on putting it all back together tomorrow and see how the motor does stock. If it does fine I plan on going with this setup. Typhoon upper and lower intake, X 303 cam or E303, BBK shorty headers, Ctaback exhaust with H pipe and 1.7 rockers. I may switch heads, but not sure what to get. Any advise on this setup?

I can go with Longtubes, I just thought about shorties because they bolt right up and theres no cutting required. I just had to Take the stock headers off of a 75' Camaro and put Long tubes on them. Pain in the *** with a damn hand saw, had to cut through two pipes on one of them.

You dont have to cut anything with a hacksaw!LOL but you will need a new H-pipe or X whatever you use
