cold air intake question

Default cold air intake question

Alright i was thinking of putting a cold air intake on my 89 lx and i was thinking of putting a new throttel bodie and a new mass air flow sensor. So my question is what size should i get for them and would it all work together properly. thanks bryan

go with any maf calibrated for the stock 19lb injectors, and a 65mm TB&spacer. although they will work well together they are basically supporting mods for better heads, cams, and intakes. you might gain a few HP, but if you dont plan on doing Heads you will just be adding bling to the motor

watch CAI and C&L meters. stock air box with a K&N panel filter along with a few holes drilled in it actually flows very well and better then some CAI kits. i would wait to you figured out what youre doing to the motor before buying those parts

Thanks for all your imput and yes i am planning to put a gt 40 intake kit and a cam. Any imput on a cam would be helpful suck as lift and duration as well as name. I think that gt 40 intake is good but if you know something better say it. So would a cold air intake work good with these mods

well if you go C&L then something in a sealed box works well or the moroso air setup. for my setup im using the stocker with a panel filter and a few holes in it.

Gt40 is a good intake, as for cam that would reflect on the heads youre getting and what the cars goals are

How can the moroso work but no other fender well intake will with the C&L.Just curios since nobody has explained why.

from how it was explain to me. something about how the bends affect the C&L and its readings. where as teh moroso is somehow different
