Default its time to play..."WHATS THAT NOISE??!"

Ill keep this short

1994 mustang gt 5.0 5 speed manual
just bought this car two days ago.

noticed squeaking noise in 1st gear when load is applied to engine...
noise sounded like pulley bearings so i replaced tensioner pulley idler pulley and belt. noise is still there.

Noise seems to be absent at idle, with clutch in or out.

noise happens when i engage first and only continues when i have gas applied.

if i let off gas noise stops.

noise seems to be absent in other gears, not too sure though.

noise increases with engine rpm and seems to go away about 3,000

sounds like pulley but its not..

what could this be?

i was leaning twards throw out bearing based on what ive read......ive never had one go bad so i dont know what to look for..... its wierd i dont hear anything in any other gear or rpm though noticed a vibration in the drive train... i might replace the u joints because it is alot less involed than a throw out bearing... i dont know if u joints would produce the squeal im getting or not..this squeaking is a new adventure to me.. never had a car do this....

Why would you change u joints if you don't know if they are even bad?

U- joints can make a squeal. Mark driveshaft to pinion yolk position. Question, what bearing you want to throwout? I made a funny.

well i looked hard into it today and i am convinced its the throw out bearing... now heres the position im in... i am going to fix this problem, as long as i have the car apart enough to replace the bearing im thinking i might as well replace the clutch as long as im there.... but the clutch feels good in all gears with the exception of second... the acceleration is not as smooth as other gears. to me this makes sense beings that its probably been shifted from first to second hard and fast who knows how many times...... im new to the ford world so i need help in choosing a decent middle of the road clutch kit. maybe i can just replace the bearing and be done with it but from what ive read i might as well replace the clutch as long as im in there and the possibility of the new bearing going bad again due to underlying clutch issues.
should i replace everything, and if so, which clutch will be a good choice?...thanks

I don't think that the rough acceleration in second is a problem with the clutch. as stated below:

"but the clutch feels good in all gears with the exception of second... the acceleration is not as smooth as other gears. to me this makes sense beings that its probably been shifted from first to second hard and fast who knows how many times...... "

But if you are going to change the TOB, you might as well change the clutch. the transmission has to come out either way. I just recently did a clutch on my 94. I used the Centerforce DF. New Clutch, TOB, Pilot bearing, rear main, Ford Racing clutch dowel and bolt kit and AFR Flywheel bolt kit i think were in the 400 -500 dollar range from summit. i wanted to do the clutch fork but it put me over budget.
