i was talking to a guy at work he was saying on the top back side of the lower intake manifold there was a like plate or something that has a diaphram in it that traps unspent fuel and then squirts it back into the motor with the new gas to be used he said that you can remove it plug the vaccum line fabricate a little cover gasket sealer put it on instead and you will see a gain in power to really before i go through all that trouble just to tear something up i would like to get a groups opinon on if hes full of crap i mean i know he has several cars that are built for drag racing and he says he builds all the motors but who really knows if someone else built them and hes just claiming the fame if anyone knows any input would help thanks.

86 not real sure if its the egr its supposelly on top of the lower intake manifold
