so im trying to swap out my steering wheel with a grant but i cant find an install kit cause my car is a 92 with an air bag. has anyone done this? thanks.

i have a 90 and i put in a grant but i was fortunate enough that the PO had disconnected the airbag and removed the old wheel. one thing to note tho, once the airbag steering wheel is out, there is this blue box that sits behind your climate control dials that will beep in 3s every so often to alert you that the airbag has a problem (because you unhooked it) it drove me crazy because its not just when you start the car, its randomly so you'll want to put that out and itll solve that problem. google how to disconnect the airbag safely and then removal of the steering wheel shouldnt be to hard after that

it 's not random, every 30 min it'll go off if the car hasn't been shut off for a 30 min period

to hell with blowin the bag safely.. trip your crash sensor... its fun, and you're neighbors will think you've been shot, so you can see who you can really rely on when they do/don't come running.

it still drove me crazy until i asked people about what it could be and removed it. it was fun to mess with my passengers tho and act like something must be REALLY wrong haha

im not too worried about the actual airbag, its finding a hub tnat will fit it since i cant find one that is ment for my make/model because of the year? will one for a 90 or so work.?
