i know one thing that slows down our cars, compared to the fox bodys, they really see no change in going from the stock 302 intake to a cobra --- but on our sn95 -- our intakes are SOOOO much smaller than the stock fox body intakes that we can feel it a whole hell of a lot more than the fox guys

ford used the intakes off the lincoln town cars because the original 302 intake wouldnt let the hood closed - so they used a smaller intake which was on the town car

its a pretty quick mod you can do without spending tons of money - getting a cobra - or explorer intake

also maybe if u get a cobra --- or explorer intake -- get it port and polished for that lil extra ... it may just do that much more for your car
