88 GT Sputters/Pops?!?!?!?
Hi All.
Finally got my GT converted to an LX, painted, new heater core, clutch and tailpipes : )
When I initially test drove it before doing anything, it seemed to hesitate/sputter; but I just associated that with it having sat for a bit.
Well, now that I drove it back from mechanic and got to get on it a little, I'm thinking it may be something else.
It idles around 1k-1.2k and around 2k in any gear (Kind of a "sweet spot") it sputters and pops but you can get on it and past that point and it has power and then some.
From what I'm reading, the TPS may be the issue, but I have read that the cold air unit can cause problems too (Mine wasn't run all the way to the fender, and is actually right above the right header).
Any feedback/advice greatly appreciated
