Default 94 Gt Ignition issues. Please Help!

When i am driving the ignition will just turn off. My cluster guage and check engine light will stay on, however the motor will not start again. I have checked fuel pump, changed filter, have fuel at the injector rail. I was thinking this may be the ignition module or coil. COil is MSD fairly new in the last 6 mo's. My question is if the Module is going bad will this cause the motor to stall during normal driving ? I can drive long distance and it will be fine, but when putting around the streets it will cut out. ANy suggestions would be greatly appreciated to trouble shoot this problem.

Driving me insane!

I'd start by replacing your MSD coil with your old one. This is to eliminate the new coil as the problem.

Default Ignition Coil or Module issues 94 GT .

While driving motor will shutoff without sputter. CHecked fuel pump , changed filter, have fuel going to injector rail. I think it could be the ign module or coil. Coil is new within last 6mo's MSD. When i drive long distance it will run fine on freeway, however when driving around street it will shut off and not start. Chasing my tail on this. Question would be if the module is going bad would it cause this issue or would a coil going bad cause this issue. any input or trouble shooting direction would help greatly...

Thanks in advance.

module issues in 94-95 models is rare, more likely the PIP inside the distributor.
first step is testing whether you lost fuel or spark when it happens.

Sorry for the double post. i was at work and the browser kicked me off. i checked the tfi for current and no spark. i guess this is most likely the coil. Thank you for the response.

The coil will not send spark through the secondry winding until the ECU tells it to via the PIP and TFI....
