Ive always been a chevy man and recently purchased a 89 gt. Im replacing the factory intake with the BBK ssi upper and lower intake. I just recieved the fel-pro gaskets i ordered and i noticed the cork rail seals for the front and rear. I always trashed these on a small block chevy and used no 2 black high temp rtv. Do i need to do the same on my 5.0 rails or should i use the cork pieces provided by fel-pro. thank you

RTV for sure. Cork=failboat.

Put the cork down, walk away from the cork. Pick up the rtv. Be ready to hear about the BBK intake. Looks cool but nobody has any positive words-usually. Let us know how it works out. Bubba

whats the word on the bbk intake, i researched the factory reviews but i realize i should have hit the forum b 4 i spent my hard earned cash.but i need to know ,,,,,,,so let me have it

+1 on the black rtv, it holds up great! Ive heard they have problems leaking fuel and sealing to the heads.....
