Default 90 5.0 question

I just picked up a new (used) motor for my 86 notch. Its got pypes headers, BBk cold air, accel ignition, B cam, and it came with a GT40 intake. Can I upgrade the throttle body, injectors and mass air without messing with the heads right now or should I wait to do the heads? My budget isnt calling for heads right now but when it is will I gain decent power with a set of GT40's with my current setup? IT is going to be a street car but I still want some decent power. Thanks in advance.

Really no need to mess with that stuff until you do get decent heads and a decent cam. If you put that in your 86 without an MAF conversion it will not run right btw.

The motor comes with the computer and all of the wiring. The b cam isnt a good cam? Are gt40 heads ood for the combo that I am running now? Also, how are the stock heads after porting and polishing. I have a extra set laying around and sending them out would not be a problem. Would the port and polish make good power on stockers?

No need to swap out all your wiring, just a MAF conversion would be fine. I believe there is a little more to the MAF conversion on cars below 1987. Nope, not a great cam. If you can get GT40's for a good price then I'd go that way. I wouldn't mess with a port and polish on stock heads.

b-cam -gt-40's or e7's = polished turd, save for some real mod parts that'll amount to something
