I have an 89 5.0 lx coupe and I keep losing water in the radiator. Now I keep looking in the oil and there is a small amount of foam in the tank sometimes it doesnt leak ANY coolant and I have NO smoke coming out of the tailpipes so, I guess being out of 5.0's for awhile now, is this a head gasket? I'm gonna drive it till she blows cause I love my 5.0's

Sounds like it. If you're losing coolant, it's either a leak in the cooling system or an internal leak into the engine. My first thing to do would be a cheap fix try...get a bottle of that stuff that seals small cracks in gaskets (for cooling system). If the leak is small enough, this could fix it and you'll be fine. If that doesn't work, go for a leak-pressure test, that'll confirm or deny a head gasket problem.

thanks for the advice but, I got a n 87 coupe 4cyl 5speed to get me around and I am gonna start tearing my 5.0 down.

check your oil. if its milky looking you might have a blown hg.
