need help with check engine light

Default need help with check engine light

after recently driving my car, the check engine light comes on after about 15-20 min of driving. it starts to flash, sometimes goes away...or it will stay on idle and ill give it some throttle and it will go away. today i noticed after it came on my volt gauge started dropping and it died out. any ideas

as long as it is on... you can have it scanned for free at autozone or pep boys

will probably give multiple codes... post the codes you get and someone will give you an idea where to look.... some of the codes are typical and nothing to worry about

Default pulled codes

ok just pulled the codes today. the check engine started coming on and off again after about 20 min of driving.

66 mass air flow sensor circuit below minimum voltage
12 idle control fault
94 torque converter clutch solenoid circuit failure
44 air injection control system failure

hmm the thermactor pipe in the back fo the heads is removed. what do i do about the mass air low voltage?

Check to see if the MAF is receiving a 12v source. Then with a DVOM and a wiring diagram, you can test for voltage fluctuations from the MAF as the engine is running and rpm's raised.

Im sure you can find a 'how to' online in testing MAF's
