Default heat sucks

i have a 1988 5.0 i turn my heat on and its blowing but just air any ideas... the lines under the hood are all hooked up it looks normal there.

Check out your heater core. Do you have coolant dripping from underneath the passenger's side?

you mean it's blowing air but not heated air correct?? cause if you reread your statement that is incorrectly worded.........anyway, enough of the grammer lesson, is the blend door cable when you turn the dial feel operational?? also check lines under hood going into heater core, are both lines warm/hot or one hot the other cool??

Inspect your vacuum tree and vacuum lines. Without vacuum you can't operate your HVAC properly.

sorry for the grammar issues... yes the blower is working but not blowing hot air. the controls are working properly when switching to defrost, floor and vents. i will have to wait to see if one line is cooler then the other i am at work.... and ill recheck the vacuum lines.... but were is the blend door cable and what does it look like thanks for the help..

TONY THAT'S all fine and dandy but the blend door is cable operated, vaccum will only affect where the air blows not temperature of it

cable is attached to the back of the control panel, just rotate the ****, does it feel like it is moving the door??

yea my vacuum lines seem ok. and what ****. the temp **** right??? and i dont know how much resistance should there be to be able to feel the cable...
