Default intake spacer

is it worth getting an intake spacer? I have the rpmII manifold, and I have the hood clearance. If so, which one? 1 inch or 3/8?

for my setup i went with the 1' but for some reason you cant hardly tell on my motor that the intake sits the much higher. um.... must be the tall valve covers

yea it does help some by rasing the power band up a few rpms. larger spacer the higher it moves it up some. you got gear and with was described i would rock a 1' this will also help you out if you get tall valve covers

just make sure you got the hood clearence. if youre ordering stuff get a pushrod checker or borrow/rent on. this will tell you if you will need new pushrods with that setup

I got pushrods when i ordered the heads. I figured I might as well. I'm pretty sure I got the clearance. I guess i could put something on top of my hood and set it down and see if it clears, but I think I should be ok.
