Default '83 mustang won't start when hot.

if i drive it for more then 10min, shut it off, then try to start it again it doesn't want to start on its own but i can jump start it. I had my alternator tested and it wasn't working properly so i replaced that and i also had my battery tested and thats working fine.

i think it might be overheating because if i let it sit for 30-45min i can start it up just fine but i have no idea if i'm right and if i am right how to find and fix the problem.

do you guys have any clue as to what might be wrong or what i need to check?

on foureyedpride they suggested checking/replacing the battery cables so i checked them and the end that goes to the starter relay, for the positive cable, was really corroded so i replaced it. when i get to school tomorrow i'll try to start after i park and hopefully this fixed it.

Do a voltage drop test of the starting and charging system. Very easy test and takes up to 10-20 mins.

mine is doing the exact same thing. the battery acts dead after it warms up, but if i let the motor cool off it will fire right up.

so replacing the battery cable didn't solve it so i am gonna pull the starter and get it tested and if the starter is fine i'll do the voltage drop test.
