You will be fine as long as you don't beat on it. Some people have luck with them and some people don't. You do need the pilot bearing from the ranger that had a diesel in it. I don't remember the year.

Thanks for the info guys! Saw another post about what pilot bearing I needed and it listed a part number, gotta find it again tho -_- I might just keep looking for a v8 T5 WC. Seems most are reluctant to part with them.

t-5's are simple to rebuild, and I have had luck more than once finding them on ebay that need rebuilding, of course if your looking for one cheap and in usable as is condition than the search may take longer

good idea, i'll have to look for broken ones. i have rebuilt a couple m5od i think they are called outta rangers, t5s can be any harder
