Default street/strip racing seat

ok im building my 89 lx i need to order a bunch of interrior parts this weekend and i was wondering whats a good racing seat that can be used with the 5pt harness and yet be some what comfortable, and affordable, ive looked at the corbeau racing seats and they look ok i just wanted an opinion, the car wont be driven much on the street more for on the strip, id like a good looking seat too

Do you plan on caging the car? I like the aluminum Kirky seats, they are light and very comfortable.

also for NHRA rules does he seat need to attatch to the roll bar? and i noticed some racing seats have the ability to lean back a little im not sure about the NHRA rules on seats

it doesnt need to attach to the roll bar but it needs to touch the bar if not you will need to run a brace off the bar to support the seat from flexing. to cheat tech for slower rides you can just move your seat all the way back and recline it some

My dad has APC seats and they are very comfortable and you can put a 5 pt harness on it too

the saets in my dads nova are pretty cheap money wise but they are prettty comfortable.....they are those summit brand ones that come plastic then u put a colored cover on them to match ur car and so on.....and he runs a 5 point harness with em

ya its a decent seat but for racing plastic just doesnt sound right...i think ill go with the aluminum ones, all i need to know now is if NHRA will allow a 4 point harness cuz i think the 5 point harness clutters the look of the car
