Timing adjustment

RE: Timing adjustment
1. Find the spout by the front passenger side fenderwell. Pull the spout out. (Little gray plug). On the 95 it should be just a seperate piece of wire with the gray spout plugged in.
2. Start the car and hook up the timing light to the number 1 cylinder plug wire.
3. Point the light down to the crank pulley and you should see the indicator and the numbers on the damper. If your damper is too old you might not be able to see the numbers from the top, so go on the bottom and mark the 14 with white out. That way when you point the light from the top you should be able to see the white mark.
4. Undo the distributor hold down bolt just slightly so you can rotate it. Do not make it too loose because you might loose the timing. Just snug to rotate.
4. By twisting the distributor match the 14mark on the damper with the indicator on the block.
5. Tighten back the hold down bolt. Check the timing again and plug in the gray spout back in the plug.
YOU ARE DONE.
