Default Serpentine Belt Squeak

Alright my timing belt recently just started squeaking like a mouse, i swapped it because i thought it was kind of old yet was reluctant to find that it is still making the noise, do i need to put some belt dressing on the belt of somehow dress the pulleys to make it run quiet?

make sure it is on correctly. If it is on correctly you might have a pulley bearing going out.

its for sure on correctly, so generally is it a bad pulley bearing or the pulley itself?

you need to put it back on and with an automotive stephascope pinpoint the source placing it on each component that rotates to locate source

3ft extension bar works just as good as a stethescope, just be careful where you stick it(thats what she said)

The belt tensioner may need to be replaced. My belt screeches upon start up then it goes away. If the tensioner gets worn it will do that.

Here's a link to them on our site.

If you replaced the timeing belt then you have a 2.3 under the hood not a 5.0 and those belts can't slip! If it a 5.0 then you are talking about the acc. drive belt and it is either worn or you have a pully locking up!
