Default What wire for battery re-locate

I have a88 5.0 with factory alternator.. To move my battery to the trunk what Alt. wire do I need to bring back to the on off switch and from were under the hood and how. Do I splice into some wire or just cut it and bring it back Thank you so much for your help I have not been able to find this info anywere for the factory alt.

you'll want a 3g alt when you relocate the battery

It would be the one that goes to the starter solenoid. I believe its the black with the orange stripe.

That is the proper way to do a battery relocate. As said you should do a 3G upgrade as well. The wire you see going to the kill switch and up to the front solenoid is the one that gives power to the car's ignition, fuel pump, acc.... Do it this way......

i agree but you still have to run the wire from the alt... i guess this would all make more sense to me if i had a 3g alt with the rewiring

Im still wiring mine up. So do you run the alt cable to the terminal of the kill switch that has the power cable coming from the battery or the one that is going to the solenoid?
