Default pin connector

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what pin 40 is for on a speed density wire harness? My car has been converted to mass air and the wire won't lock and stay tight. Can I just move the wire to pin 60 or is the other important?

Well, you just can't move a wire from one pin to another and then thing its going to work unless you move its corresponding connecting in the ECU. BUT pin 40 and pin 60 are both grounds do the same thing on the harness side of things but still the ECU is still going to need the ground that it provides.

Thanks. I thought that's what they both were but wasn't sure. My pin connector broke on pin 40 and I haven't been able to find one that is made like the one Ford had in it so I thought I would move the wire coming from the meter to pin 60.

Pin 40 is a ground. As is pin 60.
