hmm, i figured it might tie in to the rear end, but honestly have no idea how its built let alone how it would help, haha.

The bolts on the girdle go through it and have little pads on the inside of the girdle. When you tighten the bolts it puts compressive force on the main caps. In other words it presses on the main caps.

Not to mention it looks snazzy.

it keeps a constant light pressure on the main caps and if they start to flex the stud pad is suppose to stop it in theroy

I have a ford racing cover and it is the same size as my buddys trickflow you will have no clearance issues so go get it and start ripping the tires off the rims!!!!!!!
