Default fox body electrical

i have a 88 gt, i have just finished installing a 347 and astro performance T-5. i have also upgraded everything else. one of the lastest problems is the electrical. i have just installed a new mini-high torque. upon installation i found i have continuity on the trigger and the battery cables. i removed and checked again with no wires connected . the starter is fine , and does not have continuity. so i checked the new wiring and it is fine. my assumption is i have a hot wire going to ground somewhere? what also makes me feel i have a issue is the wiring with all the fusable links on this. it is highly corroded, and have crimped together. i am looking for this harness , and i can not find one. is it part of the main interior harness, and will a 4 cylinder harness work the same. please help

just be carefull, you can read continuity through a bulb.seperate your starting system then try it.pull any fuse that is not needed for start up,then add one by one till she pops.

Some interesting stuff in your thread like the cubic inch and where you bought your transmission but you failed to mention many important things.

Explain in detail how your checked for continuity. What actually is the problem, does the starter crank over the engine?
