Well I had ptv issues on all 8 exhaust valves, so I had the pistons fly cut and my issues went away...or so I thought.

Does that shed more light on the issue?

Sorry for taking so long to get back to this topic, I haven't really messed with the car lately. The build is 306, comp xe270hr-14, gt40ps, summit carb and intake combo, longtubes blah blah blah.

Well I definitely have exhaust valve clearance:

Those are my exhaust pushrods, I'm sure the exhaust valves aren't much better...I'll know in a few days as the heads are at the machine shop being leak tested and also getting the pedestals milled for stud mount rockers.

Anyone have a good writeup on degreeing the cam with the heads off?

Because I'm a jackass and never bothered to measure for new ones with the new heads and cam, I'll have the correct ones once I get the heads back.

fwiw, your stock pushrods cant handle the pressure of your new springs.

I wouldnt rip the heads off just yet.

*edit* nevermind, saw you already jumped the gun...

coulda potentially saved yourself ALOT of money by asking me first

What springs did you put on it? And are you still using the stock rockers? At this point, it doesn't really matter. But I'm curious. Thats an awfully small cam to have these problems with.

Did you even bother with checking PTV clearance before trying to fire it?
