Default Odd white terrible smelling smoke

Not pleasant at all. It is coming from somewhere in the engine. Any ideas?

Terrible smell would lead me to believe you're misfiring horribly and burning the cats.

But then again, you posted almost no information, whatsoever, so who the **** knows...

I can't really tell where the smoke is coming from. It will smoke even after the car is shut off. No new exhaust components to speak of though. Car does not seem to be running poorly at all.

I did put a new shifter in, and did a transmission flush and added new fluid. I just read something about detergents in the new fluid loosening up crud in the transmission, causing problems in the next few thousand miles. Could that be my problem?

Also what does it smell like? Is it sweet smelling like evaporating antifreeze or transmission fluid? Could be burning transmission fluid smoke rising out from the bottom of the car.

Maybe during the tranny service some fluid and/or detergents got onto your exhaust pipes and now it is getting progessively burned off as you drive.

This may be the case because it keeps on smoking even after the car is shut off AND the section of exhaust we are talking about is far enough behind the engine to allow for a bit of time for all of the contaminants to burn off completely.
