Post Trick for the EGR solenoid falt code

Compleate a simple mood to trick the ECM in my 87 today and thought that I would share it. To start I am running an 87GT with a 90 harness (lots of repinning) and MAF. It runs great but due to the removeal of the smog system the ECM leaves the MIL light (installed in the tack) on at all times. I was able to trick the ECM by installing 3 75ohm 3 watt resisters. The process was simple. I removed the solenoids on the back of the passengers strut tower removed the plugs and soldered the risisters in line I then used glue lined heat shrink to cover the new resister. Less than $4.00 in parts and a little time and cleared 4 codes from the system.

If I wasn't going to get it cut off in the next tune, I would try this. Thanks

You will still have the CEL on. The resistors cause the egr to throw a code but at least the CEL is off.

So lets assume i'm and idiot and can't read (someone else even typed this for me) I could really use a picture or diagram so I do it right. Also it seems like your adding these resistors near the pass strut tower, others have it added right by where the egr plugged in, is this just 2 different ways to attack the same problem?
