bump strip

what does the body look like beneath the bump strips that go around my car (1990 lx vert)? im wondering if its a flat surface and hoping i can achieve a cleaner look by removing them but im new to mustangs and dont know. i dont want to take them off if its going to look all wierd so just wondering if anyone knows ,, thanks!

They can not be removed from the bumper covers or the bumper cover extensions. The doors are not smooth when you remove them either.

o lame . i guess ill just paint them to match the body so they stand out less
