Hey all,
I have an 83 gt ho and i was wondering how wide you can go with the rear rims and tires, (Cobra R 17") remember in 83 there were no quad shocks only tracktion bars so that will help a little. I would like to fit 275's on the rear and 245's on the front. Thanks

yes those 17s will fit in the back because i have an 83 gt but the front tires rub a little when you turn them all the way L&R the tires i have are ventras and they are a nitto look alike without the price but hold up well in all conditions and get good traction

I have a car just like your yet its an 84. The color is the same. Looks just like mine. I went and put on 17x9 cobra rims with 240/40r17 on them and they handle sweet on the curves. The only problem I had was the front tires. They rubbed on the struts so I had to use spacers to get the rims away from the struts. All in all they look nice and have a killer look. I dropped them 1 1/2 with steeda perfomance springs. They looked even better.
