1/4 mile still not better after changes 16.3 in a 92 coupe 5.0 5 spee
i posted a tread not to long ago and got some helpful info but my car still isnt right i have a 92 coupe 306 lunati cam gt40 heads 373 gears underdrive pullys and a coupe of other mods( refer to 92 coupe terrible 1/4 mile times to see all the specs and tips i was givin). i just put a gt40 upper and lower intake on it but havent had a chance to run it again. i have a WOT laging problem aswell. i have checked the tps and fuel pump voltage and cleand the maf sensor. are there any other sensor that i could check that could cause this big of a problem?

Not all codes cause the check engine light to come on. What's to say your CEL bulb isn't burned out.
You're supposed to take the spout connecter out and then set the timing to 14 degrees. That guy is retarded and if you blindly advance your ignition that far you will start detonating and cause damage to your engine.
Just because the timing light shows 14 degrees doesn't mean it's right. If you installed the distributor one tooth off, you can be so far advanced or retarded that the timing light shows 14 degrees but in reality you could be way off.

Worn out rear could definitely kill your times by spinning one tire and getting traction with only one tire...
But who knows, if you fix that and are only getting high 14s then you do have engine issues. Stock cars should do low to mid 14s.
