alternator not charging at all
On my way home today I noticed my volt gauge was low, and when I got home the battery didn't have enough juice to start the car. Well anyways, does anyone know what the little white plug is on my alternator? there's the main cable, a two wire connector, and this little white wire/gray connector that plugs into the alt, and it was really loose on the terminal, so i got a new connector and soldered on that on, still nothing. I just now looked at a wiring harness and it doesn't have that connector on it, so i'm confused as to what it's for. I check the wire connections at the alt and the fuse box, tight and clean, checked the fuse, then ran out of daylight so had to call it quits for today. I'm going to take my alt to get tested but the main question i guess is what in the world is that other single wire connector for?
btw, this is for a '95 mustang.
