i know cases where ppl do peg them and have to upgrade to larger ones. usually when injectors are to small. you can **** the mAF by not using the stock holder and just spining it

go find a buddy with a MAF setup. now instead of using the stock bracket that mounts it to the inner fender. in some cases you cant use it anyways. so now the MAF is held in place by the solid tube from C&L and the air box. now just turn the whole assembly to either direction clock wise or counterclockwise. you not cocking the sensor just the whole housing

I have a bbk fenderwell cold air intake, and a 73mm c&l mass air meter.
after I put my new intake on, my idle jumped like you describe, but after I fixed my vacum leak it fixed it.
check for vacum leaks.

yeah, you need it to match the injectors. So, if you have 24# injectors, you need an MAF calibrated for 24#. Or if you have stock 19#, you need an MAF calibrated for stock 19#'s
