Hey, i ordered an sct chip from american muscle, and got a 93p 91p and 87 tune. Heres my question, car runs fine and does pull harder up top. however my idle is at 1000rpms. I went home installed the chip and drove it 55miles back to school on the highway. Even after i pulled in the parking lot and the car was obviously warmed up the idle was still at 1000rpms. If i switch it to the stock tune my idle goes back to 750rpms. Does the computer have to go through a learning stage at all? Or is there a screw up somewhere? thanks, Jay.

Can you switch tunes while the engine is running? Or does the motor have to be off? I switched through all the tunes to make sure the car overturns, but only after shutting the car off.

lol , mail order tunes = you get what you pay for, and for your relatively stock set up, = was a total waste. proplem is is the tune, most likely, idle strategy has been modified

DO NOT SWITCH TUNES WHILE DRIVING. TURN YOUR CAR OFF AND EVEN TAKE THE KEY OUT. YOULL BURN UP YOUR CHIP AND THE COMPUTER. ----coming from experience

take the chip out, send it back. you got ripped off. you can buy a timing light for $10 so if you paid more then $10 for the chip you paid too much seeing as all it does is advance the timing.
