i recently jus swaped gears from 327 to 410.. i opened binary editor and changed my settings to the proper trans gears and for the now 410 rearend gears but my speedometer is still off... and my shift points are all wacky what gives? do i still have to change the speedo drive gear?

im not good with the computer controlled stuff....... but the autos have 8 tooth drive gear and you can't correct to 4.10's with that.

you probably have a purple driven gear? thats a 21 tooth and the most ford makes. the 23 tooth is a jeep part and will work in a t5, it will work in a aod car but the mesh is worse than in a t5 and can grind off in 20k miles or so. even that will have you off. like 10%

I'd swap the drive gear to the right one for 4.10's first

the only problem there is that the auto cars have the drive gear machined on the output shaft... not clipped on like t5 cars.

so the whole shaft has to be swapped out.

but yes, thats the best way. a 6t drive gear is the way to go, then all you need is like a 19 or 20t driven based what tire you use.

i agree the mechanical fix is proper but i was wandering if there is a software fix that i could do b4 i swap it out..?
