Default aod-t5 swap

Ive got a 91 gt with an aod thats toast. I was gonna do a race rebuild with parts from silver fox trans, but my buddy emailed me this morning and said he found a t5 swap for $450. What all should be in this kit so i know im getting everything if i do chose to buy this kit. Is this a good price?

tranny/bell housing, clutch pedal, clutch cable, flywheel(clutch and pressure plate if they are still decent) pretty much if you will mod the shift opening a little and the stock cross member

you will have to buy a new throw out bearing since auto cars dont have one

hardest part of the swap is getting the pedals installed the rest is no harder than installing a new clutch and pressure plate

My brother did this same thing on his 89LX 5.0 .. One thought to put in your head that you need to find a kit or accessories to install the push sensor that goes under the clutch pedal to let the car start ... Brother ran his to a handheld deal you had to push in to simulate the clutch being depressed ... just something to think about

if he gets the pedal it will have that switch on it...or he can leave the jumper in place that an auto car has and he can start it without pushing in the clutch...but thats not safe

i did the swap in my 91 vert best mod ever car was so much faster and better MPG to boot

Some of the cars won't start like that. you may have to install a push button start.
