Default the 82 bites me again

hey guys ive been reading the forums for a while but just decided to make a name up and such but i got a question about my 82 stang. is there any way i can throw "True Dual" exaust on my stang instead of having the great engineer designed 2 into 1 back into 2 from factory? i got a tranny crossmember out of a 87 4 cyl but they seem to look like the same cross member :-X. i got the 87 as a parts car figuring i could grab the nice 8 8 rear out of the back of it since my 75 decided to go bang and was all excited when i got the 87 and looked at the tag and saw the great numbers 7 5 ahhh cant ever win so if anybody knows of cheap 88 rear axles near stroudsburg PA give a PM or of anybody has the crossmember if i need one. Thanks in advance

All 4cly cars have the 7.5 and you will need a 86???or newer crossmember to run true dual exhaust.

Yeah you need an 86 or newer crossmember to run the exhaust systems of the newer foxes. My buddy with an 83 did it.

for the true dual exhaust to work right, u will need the cross member. mustangs unlimited has a non adjustable cross member for about $43. that will allow u to put a dual exhaust h-pipe under there. then u just need a cat back dual kit. MU, Jegs, and Summit all have cheap kits. yeah, if u go onto the mustangs unlimited site, u can see the pic of the dual crossmember. i have an '83 and did this. really easy, two bolts on the sides and then the trans mount nuts.
