Default water temp gauge

i got an autometer water temp gauge and im just looking where you put the sensor on the motor. ive tryed googling it but cant find exactly what im looking for

The stock sensor is on the driverside lower intake. It has a single wire on it. Remove it and just reinstall the new one from the temp gauge.

i got it on but the wire connected to the sensor moves through the fitting. even with it connected in the engine. am i suppose to have another fitting that goes on first or will the sensor part push up tight to the fitting once the car heats up? its an auto meter gauge BTW

No you have to get the adapter fitting for the sender. If the gauge didn't come with fittings then you have to go and purchase one from your local auto parts store. The sender is supposed to screw on to the adapter fitting and make sure it is tight or it will leak out coolant.
