Default Belt size for smog pump delete

My smog pump's bearings went and until I find a new one (or need to pass emissions) I want to just get a shorter belt to bypass it. I took a string and it came out to around 78 inches, but online some people are saying 77 is what I want. I don't feel like running back and forth getting different belts. So does anyone know what I should get?
