Talking Ranger 302

im putting a 302 in my ranger. strokin to 347. what should i do about the rear and trans. and should i go carb or efi. its a 93

get an 8.8 out of a newer ranger....might be able to find a factory 3.73 rear

is it auto??pick up a c4 and install...if its 5speed get a t5

would a 3.55 8.8 handle around 350-400 hp?

Stock 8.8 is 28 spline. I would upgrade to 31 spline. You can get one off of a Ford truck, then get new axles.

the explorer 8.8 are 31 spline and the right width for a ranger, also if you get one out of a 95 or newer you'll have rear disk brakes

Are you going to put some wider rubber under it? I didn't know if you were interested in a few tricks? I have a 9 inch-456 gear under mine. Just curious?
