5.8L Swap
Ok well here is the story I was thinking about a 331 stroker for a my88 lx5.0 and the price for stroker kit is like 1600.00 for the pistons (forged), forged steel crankshaft, rings etc etc. So I looked up the horsepower gains and they were that significant. So I went to thinking that what if I could swap in a 5.8L EFI engine from a F-150. My question is will it fit without hacking stuff out? Because I don't want to take any of my firewall or move everything around.</P>
Thanks</P><edited><editID>Mustang88LXKid</editID><editDate>37950.7715277778</editDate></edited>

the 302 is nothing to be ashamed of unless you just wanna say you have an uncommon engine in your car. best bet is to look up a website that shows a step by step of how someone else did those projects.

I have a 351W in my car and it bolts up to the regular motormounts buy then it wont fit under the stock hood you have to get a cowl. If you want a stock hood get vert motormounts and it will fit depending on what intake you put on if you want a trickflow intake you have to have a cowl anyway.

I'm not 100% sure, but since the 460 is almost a direct drop in for the 302 it should fit. The 428 I'm don't know at all. Isn't the 428 pretty much the same block as a 460 (previous generation or something?).
